“Hunted,” the Movie?

Readers have said, “I can’t wait for the movie!”  Well, guess what?  Neither can I!  😊   Although a ninety-minute or two hour movie is not enough.  I think a series that has eight to ten episodes might be a better fit to capture the full story in “Hunted.”

Oscar Issac as Santi?

This reminds me of a discussion I had several months ago.  Just after the book was released my family was finally able to read it!  True story.  I didn’t let anyone read it before it was on Amazon!  Except my editor that is. We were having an enjoyable dinner together up in St. Petersburg (Florida) and were talking about making it into a movie.  Lively discussion fueled by good food, family and a bit of vino of course!   Things are always better when you break bread together.   But the big question in the conversation was who would play who?

Who would play Tony?  The Sheriff?  Is there an actress who could do even come close to doing Susan justice in a movie?  FBI agent Santi Rodriquez?  It was a fun conversation.  Maybe I should start turning the book into a script and get this idea rolling!  Yes, I absolutely must be in it!  I seriously would be!   Just like Stephen King who has cameos in many of his book to movie projects, I would at least make an appearance!  Why not?  A brief cameo at least.

What do you think about the role of the Sheriff being played by Robert Taylor from the successful series, Longmire?  I can see it.  Can you?  His role in Longmire seems like a good fit for the role of Sheriff McCutchen.  Plus, I liked the show and when you do that, you develop a connection with the actor and his or her character.

You agree with me on the Sheriff?  If not, who would you suggest?   Of course, who would play Tony is a big, big decision.  Who comes to mind?   It would require an actor that is fit, in his mid-40’s (or looks it), is good looking and it would be helpful if he has some martial arts background or is at least athletic enough to pull it off on film!

If I was working on the cast right now, who would you suggest for any of these key parts?  Let me know.  I love the feedback, and you never know, if this gets turned into a Netflix series in the future, and you could even be helping cast the show!
